The nursery is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm. We kindly ask parents and carers to allow sufficient time to collect their child before closing to ensure a calm and unhurried end to the day. To support a smooth handover and allow time for staff to share updates about your child’s day, we ask that collections take place by 5.50pm. Our staff shifts end at 6.00pm, and the nursery closes promptly at this time. If a child is collected after their agreed pick-up time or after 6.00pm, a late collection fee of £1.00 per minute may be applied. We understand that unforeseen delays can occur and ask that parents and carers contact the nursery as soon as possible if they expect to be late. This charge is applied where late collection becomes a regular occurrence.

We believe choosing the right nursery is an important decision, and we warmly welcome families to come and visit us to experience Good Foundations for themselves. Parents and carers are asked to arrange a showaround with their child, giving you the opportunity to explore the nursery, meet our team, and see the environment where your child will learn, play, and grow. To arrange a visit, please contact the nursery and we will do our best to offer a time that suits your family, while also working around the children’s daily routines and required staffing ratios. This visit provides a clear picture of what your child’s day could look like with us. If you decide to move forward following your visit, we will arrange two settling-in sessions to help your child feel comfortable and secure. The first session lasts approximately 30 minutes, allowing you to complete paperwork with your child’s key person while your child enjoys time in the room. The second session lasts around two hours, giving your child the opportunity to begin settling more independently. Following this, we will discuss and agree a suitable start date for your child

Parents may choose to provide a packed lunch; however, all packed lunches must meet our food safety, allergy, and storage requirements due to our extended nursery hours. Full details are outlined in our Packed Lunch Policy. Our on-site meal service remains available and provides freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced meals each day at an additional cost.
