Partnership with Parent/Carers

We believe that Parent/Carers are the primary educators of their children and should be centrally involved in their child's experiences and development. We want to work in partnership with you, and for you to be happy with what we do and how we do it. We welcome any feedback and suggestions and have a feedback form on the website that can be filled in as anonymous if preferred. Each child is allocated a key person who will let you know what your child has been doing and how they are progressing. The key person will share information on a daily basis or more formally during parent's evenings. Parents are invited to contribute to their own child's records.

Equality of opportunity

All children and families are welcomed in our nursery. We differentiate our activities to meet the individual needs of all children. Children are able to grow and develop at their own pace, with lots of encouragement and praise. We enjoy celebrating the different festivals that are within the multi-cultural society around us.

FAQ

What to bring to nursery

It's always handy to bring a bag to nursery. In this bag should include:

  • A few changes of clothes - Just in case your child participates in a messy play or has an accident.

  • A comforter - If your child has a dummy or blanket  to help settle them in.

  • Nappies, nappy cream and wipes.

  • A water bottle - If you prefer your child to use their own cup or bottle. We ask that these be filled with water or flavoured water please.

  • Coats, sun hats, sun cream - It's always good to be prepared for whatever weather.

  • Medication - If your child needs medication, please do not put it in their bag as this is a serious hazard to other children. Give it to a member of staff instead who will fill a form out for you.

  • Food - Please do not bring food from home into the nursery or in your child's bag. This is to ensure the safety and welfare of other children in the room that may have a serious allergy.
