Fees & Funding
Good Foundations Day Nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
Session Fees
• Full Day (8.00am to 6.00pm): £67.00
• Morning Session (8.00am to 1.00pm): £46.50
• Afternoon Session (1.00pm to 6.00pm): £44.50
• Full Week (Monday to Friday): £268.00
Deposits
To secure a childcare place, a deposit equal to one week's fees is required. Once your child starts at the nursery, this deposit will be deducted from your first invoice, whether this relates to childcare fees, additional hours or meal charges. Where no invoice is required, the deposit will be refunded during your child's first week at the nursery.
If the reserved private place is not taken up, the deposit will be retained to cover the cost of holding the place.
Payment
Fees can be paid weekly or monthly by bank transfer or cash. All fees are payable in advance and should be received by the first week of the month in which childcare is due. Late payments may incur an administration charge.
Government Funding
We offer funded early education places in accordance with the Government's childcare funding schemes and the Nottinghamshire County Council Provider Agreement.
We accept:
• 2 Year Funding for eligible children.
• Universal Funding for all eligible 3 and 4 year old children.
• Working Families Funding for eligible children.
• Stretched Funding, allowing eligible families to spread their funded entitlement across more weeks of the year, subject to availability and our funding offer.
There is no charge for funded childcare hours. Eligible families can access their funded entitlement, and any additional hours or days requested outside of this entitlement will be charged at our published session rates.
Meals
We provide freshly prepared, home cooked meals and snacks each day. Unless we receive written notice from a parent or carer requesting otherwise, all children will automatically be provided with nursery meals.
Meal Charges
Children aged 9 months to 2 years
• Full Day: £6.00
• Morning Session: £3.50
• Afternoon Session: £2.00
Children aged 3 to 4 years
• Full Day: £8.00
• Morning Session: £4.50
• Afternoon Session: £3.00
Parents and carers may choose to opt out of nursery meals at any time by providing written notice to the nursery. Children who opt out are welcome to bring a healthy packed lunch and snacks in accordance with our Packed Lunch Policy. Choosing not to purchase nursery meals will not affect a child's funded entitlement or their nursery place.
Additional Charges
Parents may only incur additional charges in the following circumstances:
• Additional childcare hours or days requested outside of a child's funded entitlement. These will be charged at our published session rates and must be paid in advance.
• Nursery meals for children accessing funded childcare. Government funding does not cover the cost of meals; therefore, the published meal charges apply to children attending funded sessions unless parents have chosen to opt out in writing in accordance with our Packed Lunch Policy. Families paying our standard session fees will not incur an additional meal charge, as meals are already included within those fees.
• Optional celebrations and special events, such as our Christmas Party and Preschool Graduation Celebration. Where an event fee applies, parents will be informed of the cost in advance. Participation is entirely optional. However, if parents choose for their child to attend, the advertised event fee will be payable.

Nursery closure
Good Foundations Day Nursery is closed on all Bank Holidays and for up to one week over the Christmas period. Our Christmas closure dates are communicated to families well in advance each year.
Extra Sessions
If you wish to book an additional session for your child, we kindly ask that you notify us as early as possible. We recommend providing at least one week's notice; however, we will always do our best to accommodate requests made at shorter notice, subject to availability.
Government funded session
Please visit our Government Funding Support page for useful information, guidance and links to help you understand the available childcare funding schemes.
Please note that holding a valid funding code does not automatically guarantee the availability of a childcare place at the nursery. Places are subject to availability at the time of application.
